Each of the drivers in theFury has a value from 10 to 30. Initial driver values are based upon
previous performance. All new drivers receive an initial value of 10. Driver values may vary throughout the race season as recent performances
update their valuations. It is a good idea to stay aware of the current value of all the drivers in
theFury.
FuryBucks and the Budget
As the owner of a racing team in theFury you will be credited with an initial budget of 100
FuryBucks to build your racing team. TheFury driver values represent the number of
FuryBucks needed to place an individual driver on your team. You are not required to use all of
your FuryBucks to build your team, but you cannot exceed the number available in your budget. As
theFury racing season progresses and the driver values of your team members change so do the number
of FuryBucks in your budget. Therefore, team drivers with increasing values add FuryBucks
to the budget and team drivers with decreasing values subtract them. Should your budget fall below 100,
the League Office of the theFury automatically steps in with interest free loan credits to maintain
your operating capital at the 100 FuryBuck minimum. However, the League Office requires that all
loaned credits be repaid before your budget can rise above the 100 credit minimum. A "Check Budget"
button allows team owners to view their current budget as they manage the team roster.
Management of Your Race Team
As team owner you will manage the make-up of your team by hiring and firing drivers. Your selected race
team must consist of at least 5 drivers to qualify for participation in theFury and the total Driver
Value of your team cannot exceed the FuryBucks available in your budget. Additional drivers are permitted
as long as you stay within the limits of your budget. You may find it necessary, in order to stay
competitive in the race for theFury championship, to change the make-up of your race team from time
to time. As team owner you may make driver changes to your team as often as you deem necessary.
However, all driver changes must be submitted under "green", theFury designation for the time between
the League Office's posting of the official results from the last race to the start of qualifying for the next race.
Once the posted qualifying time occurs, the League Office closes and theFury is placed under
"red" or locked condition. No further changes are accepted and the last accepted change becomes effective for
the next scheduled race. Following completion of each race, unofficial results are posted by the League
Office as soon as possible. The status of theFury between the posting of official and unofficial
results is "yellow" to allow team owners to view results prior to the often delayed announcement of the official
results.
Earning Points for Your Race Team
Points awarded to theFury drivers on your team are equal to the Sprint Cup® points earned by the same drivers
in the real Sprint Cup® Race. Following the posting of the official results for each Sprint Cup® Race, points
are awarded to your team's drivers and added to previous team point totals. Points are accumulated by segment
and by season. Segment point totals determine team positions in the pursuit of FuryCup Points awarded at the
end of each segment. Season point totals are accumulated only as a FuryCup Point tie breaker to determine the
final award of the coveted fantasy Cup of Fury.
Winning FuryCup Points
TheFury race season is divided into 4 segments. At the beginning of each
segment, total segment points are set to zero. During each segment your race team accumulates points
(see Earning Points For Your Race Team).
At the end of each segment, FuryCup Points are awarded.
Race teams finishing in the upper quarter of the standings are eligible for FuryCup Points.
The number of race teams awarded FuryCup Points is therefore, proportional to the total number of teams competing.
Points are awarded based upon finishing position incrementally stepped from 25 FuryCup Points to 1 FuryCup point.
Example: If 400 race teams are competing then the top 100 teams are eligible for FuryCup Points and each award level includes 4 race teams.
Therefore, each of the top four teams receive 25 FuryCup Points, the next four teams receive 24 FuryCup Points and so on until the last four teams are awarded 1 FuryCup Point each.
The actual number of race teams competing is rounded to the nearest 100 for the purpose of FuryCup Point award eligibility.
Winning BonusCup Points
BonusCup Points are equal in value to FuryCup Points and are awarded following each race based upon the
Winner of the Pole Position and the Top Three Finishers. If your team for the current race includes
the Pole-sitter or are among the Top Three Finishers, then you accumulate BonusCup Points according to the
following schedule. At the end of each segment, BonusCup Points are combined with the accumulated
FuryCup Points to give a boost to your run for theFury Championship.
Note: during the "Chase for Championship" or the last segment of 10 races, all BonusCup Points earned are doubled.
Race Pole-sitter: 1 BonusCup Point
First Place: 4 BonusCup Points
Second Place: 2 BonusCup Points
Third Place: 1 BonusCup Point
Top Three Places: 1 SweepBonusCup Point
Winning theFury Championship
At the end of the final segment, the owner of the race team with the most accumulated FuryCup Points
for the entire season will be declared theFuryChampion. Should there be a tie for
the honor, the award will go to the race team owner who also accumulated the most overall season point total.
